About Eva


Eva was born in Athens, Greece to a native Athenian family. She is political analyst specialising in Middle East and columnist in international and Greek media. She holds a ΒA in Economics from Deree College – The American College of Greece, an MSc in Public Policy and Management from the University of London CeFiMS, SOAS and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix – Arizona. Apart from her native language, she is fluent in English, French, Russian, has medium knowledge of German and is an avid Arabic learner.

She has been following and studying Middle East politics for many years and, being a world traveler, she takes the opportunity to have a broad knowledge and understanding of it “on the field”. European and Russian politics are also among her interests. She is a regular columnist and commentator on various international and Greek newspapers, web sites and networks such as Al-Quds Al-Arabi, The New Arab, Syriawise, Pulsul Geostrategic, Defence & Security Alert, Al-Sharq Qatar, Annahar, Orient News, Arab News, Huffington Post Greece, the Greek weekly Paraskinio, Al Jazeera, RT, AFP, AP, and others. Her research interests include the Syrian revolution and the international and regional conflict around it, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the Turkish role in the Middle East, the implications of US, EU and Russia involvement in the region, Jihad and Jihadist groups, Greek-Turkish relations. also provides political risk analysis advisory services for the Middle East and North Africa region. Eva was involved in international politics at a very young age through her political activity. She firstly became member of the Central Administration of ONNED-International and Public Relations Secretariat (Youth section of Nea Demokratia right-wing party), and later moved to the central party administration (Press Office). She has been twice candidate in Greek local government elections. From 2011 until 2013 she was elected Vice President of the Environment, Local Government and Regional Planning Commission of the “European Union of Women – EUW”, and today she is Vice President of the Hellenic section of EUW, coordinator of Commissions. In the 32nd, 33rd and 34th International Council meeting of EUW, she was elected Vice President of the standing Election Committee. At the October 2019 meeting of the EUW Board, she was appointed as the interim president of the newly established Culture Commission.

In the past, after acquiring professional experience both in the public and private sectors, she became an entrepreneur. She specialised in management consulting, business development and strategic planning, as well as communication and congress and event planning. Some of her activities included work in various foreign countries, particularly under adverse conditions in countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Kosovo, India and the Philippines, as well as in Middle East countries.

Eva also has vast social activity. After coordinating “Doctors of the World / Médecins du Monde – Greece” international missions, she realised the importance of community work. She has served as President of Kifissia – Maroussi Annex of the “Association of Greek Women for Family and Youth (EN.E.O.N.)” and she is member of the “Society of Friends of the Opera – EFELS”. She is also founding member of the “European Union SMEs – EUMU” and a former Board Member, member of the “Women’s Political Association”, member of the “Hellenic-Chinese Business Chamber”, the “Hellenic-Russian Association” and the global humanitarian organization “Lions Clubs International” at the Athens-Center Club of which she is secretary.
